I’ve lived in different places, studied architecture, raised three children, and eventually found my way to photography. Today, I live and work in Lisbon.

I never had a grand plan to become a photographer. Photography simply became the tool I had at hand — a way of paying attention, making sense of what I see, and holding on to what might otherwise disappear.

I photograph people, places, memories, and the quiet spaces in between. Sometimes I add words, but mostly I think in images. Photography became the language I found for the things I don’t always know how to say.

Photography has changed the way I see the world, but more than anything, it has changed the way I see myself.

I may not know exactly why I became a photographer.

But I know this is how I tell stories.
